Angie Azur

I grew up on a small blueberry farm in Pittsburgh, PA, in a tiny town called BIG BEAVER. Yes, I had to endure teasing for many school years. My parents were oblivious to this torment. Busy with clearing brush and planting bushes, they handed me a whistle and told me to blow if I got into trouble. (Insert joke here.) I explored 64-acres with my little sister in tow – whom I loved to scare with tales of water-well-trolls, shale-monsters and old-oak-ghosts. My stories and characters call to me from this time of pure freedom.

My portfolio consists of tween and teen Middle-Grade and Young-Adult novels, Adult, MG, and YA scripts, Picture Books and TV pilot scripts. I have been published in magazines and writer's guides.

I graduated from Writer's Boot Camp, Santa Monica, in 2010. I have a BA in psychology from La Roche College. I am also working on my MFA in creative writing from Chatham University.

I enjoy helping fellow writers as much as I can. I update my blog consistently with information that will help lead you to publication. If you enjoy what you read, please pass it along.
